Almost one year ago, York Professor Daniel Simeoni, director of Glendon’s Graduate Program in Translation and member of the Graduate Program in Humanities – a colleague, professor, friend and mentor – passed away.
In view of the potential for a strike, the memorial time has been changed. Guests, colleagues, friends and students are invited to come and honour Prof. Simeoni during a special ceremony on Thursday, Nov. 6, from 7:30 to 10pm in the Glendon Gallery on York’s Glendon campus.
Speeches will begin at 8pm, in Glendon Hall, GH102. A reception will follow in the gallery. Prof. Simeoni’s most important works, prizes and projects as well as several photographs will be exhibited at the gallery.
