Members of the York community are invited to attend today’s farewell reception for Naguib Gouda, executive director of alumni & advancement services. Gouda is leaving York to become executive director, professional services, at the Ontario Medical Association.

Since his appointment in 2004, Gouda has overseen the transformation of the Alumni Board as well as the modernizing and streamlining of data collection and management. The efforts of Gouda and his team have resulted in an increase in alumni participation and strengthened the bonds between the University and its largest constituency.
The farewell reception will take place today, from 3 to 4:30pm, in 280 York Lanes. Gouda has asked that in lieu of gifts, donations be made to the LaMarsh Centre for Research on Conflict and Violence Resolution at York University.
