The Toronto Police Service is currently investigating an incident that took place on Sunday, Jan. 13, at approximately 11:40pm, at the York Student Centre on the Keele campus.
It was reported to the police that three unknown males had assaulted an external contract employee. The assault took place in the basement of the Student Centre. More details will be available once the police provide them and Security Services will continue to provide updates.
In the meantime, York Community members are reminded to exercise personal safety by:
- being aware of your surroundings and the people around you,
- reporting any suspicious persons or behavior to York University Security Services,
- limiting access to buildings to authorized personnel only.
