A memorial service will be held this Sunday for York alumna Robynne Neugebauer (BA ‘82, PhD ‘96), a sociology professor at Carleton University in Ottawa. Neugebauer died suddenly on Sept. 8, 2007. She was 47.
Described as a gifted teacher by her colleagues and students, Neugebauer also held a teaching appointment in the Department of Sociology in York’s Faculty of Arts from 1996 to 2001. (For the full Passings notice, see the Oct. 4, 2007 issue of YFile.)
Family, friends and colleagues are invited to celebrate her life on Oct. 28, at 2pm, at the Willowdale SDA Hall, 555 Finch Avenue West, Toronto (behind Branson Hospital).
In lieu of flowers, donations in the form of toiletries for Yellow Brick House will be gratefully received on that day.
