Walking to keep fit

For those students, faculty and staff who have small breaks in their schedule and who might want a change from the equipment in the gym, there is a regular walking group that sets out each week to walk for fitness. The group meets every Tuesday and Thursday throughout the semester at the Student Services Centre.


The fitness walks take place on Tuesdays at 11:15am and Thursdays at 2:30pm. Each walk is approximately 35 to 45 minutes in length and all types of walkers are welcome to join the group. Participants will receive a walking program packet, routes for various distances across campus, and the benefit of walking with fellow students, staff and faculty.


This program goes beyond the grounds of the Keele campus. There is a walking group on the Glendon campus as well. Any member of the York community who would like a change of scenery is welcome to walk at either location.
