Funeral arrangements have been finalized for Chantel Dunn. Visitation will be held on Friday, Feb. 17, from 2-4pm and 7-9pm, at the Neweduk Funeral Home, 1981 Dundas West, Mississauga.
The funeral will be held on Saturday, Feb. 18, at 11am, at Praise Cathedral Worship Centre, 6785 Millcreek Drive, Mississauga. A final visitation will take place from 9-10:30am.
Dunn was a second-year Faculty of Arts student. She died of gunshot injuries that she sustained on Monday, Feb. 6. At the request of her family, those attending the funeral are asked to bring a single white rose to represent the shining star that Dunn was, and to reflect that she was an innocent victim of crime.
Counselling services are available to York students through the Counselling and Development Centre (and to Atkinson students through their faculty). Faculty and staff members can seek counselling through the Employee Assistance Program.
