The bulk of his teaching duties are in the Division of Natural Science. In 1993 Wall was awarded the Excellence in Teaching Award in the Faculty of Pure & Applied Science.

“Dr. Wall is sensitive to the needs of students and has an understanding of the college’s social, cultural and academic role,” Tiffin said. “I know that he will enjoy working with the community of Bethune and its partners in the Faculty of Science & Engineering and the Faculty of Environmental Studies. I join with York President and Vice-Chancellor Lorna R. Marsden and my colleagues in congratulating Byron and I look forward to working with him.

“I also want to take the opportunity to thank outgoing master Paul Delaney for his dedication, leadership, and commitment to the Bethune community for the past 10 years. Under his mandate Bethune has forged closer ties with the Faculty of Science and Engineering and advanced its academic mandate through services and programs for students,” said Tiffin.

“Finally, I want to thank the members of the search committee who worked with great dedication under the leadership of Dr. Frances Flint as Chair. The members included Professor Eric Willis, Professor Richard Jarrell, Professor Katey Anderson, Suzanne Park, Janet Morrison, Heather Kelly, Melissa Bridgeman and John Crysler (secretary).

“I am confident that Bethune College will continue to thrive with Dr. Wall’s direction.”
