Michael Markicevic today joins York University as executive director, security, parking & transportation, succeeding the late Tom Arnold.

Markicevic has extensive senior management experience in both the private and public sectors, most recently as vice-president, Canadian operations for DBS Systems Inc. His public sector experience includes investigative roles with the Ontario government in the former Ministry of the Solicitor General (now the Ministry of Community Safety & Correctional Services).
Markicevic brings to the University significant expertise in the areas of strategic planning, continuous improvement and change management. He holds a BA in economics and commerce from the University of Toronto and an MBA from Auburn University in Alabama.
