The York Common will be closed Saturday, Aug. 14, from 5am to 6pm and again on Sunday, Aug. 15, while storm and sanitary sewers are connected to the Accolade buildings.
Transit bus stops will be relocated to York Boulevard and Ian Macdonald Boulevard. A student security officer will be stationed at the entrance to the Common to direct transit patrons.
Emergency vehicles will be able to enter the Common area but will have to turn around to exit because excavation will block the usual exit.
