York administrator Tom Arnold dies in tragic accident

The flags will be lowered to half-mast for Tom Arnold, York’s executive director of Security, Parking and Transportation Services, who died suddenly on Friday, May 14 in Peterborough Civic Hospital after a tragic automobile accident.


Tom came to York in 1990 as coordinator of student services, and was appointed to his latest post in October 2002. He is survived by his wife, Linda, and children Eric and Lauren. His mother, Vera, also died in the accident.


Friends may visit at the Trinity Anglican Church, 79 Victoria Street, Aurora, today from 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm. A funeral service will be held in the church on Tuesday at 11am, with cremation to follow. As expressions of sympathy, donations to a trust fund for Eric and Lauren would be appreciated.
