York Lions head to CIS hockey championship


York Lions hockey team, who finished the regular season in first place in the Ontario University Athletics (OUA) Mid West Division, will be making its second consecutive trip to the Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS) Men’s Hockey Championship, Thursday to Sunday, March 25-28, at the University of New Brunswick.

This is York’s 10th overall appearance at the championship. The University has captured three national championships, including back-to-back titles in 1987-88 and 1988-89, under head coach Graham Wise.
