Professor Michael Jenkin of the Department of Computer Science & Engineering and the Centre for Vision Research has been appointed York’s representative to the Natural Sciences & Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC).

Jenkin replaces Professor John Tsotsos, director of the Centre for Vision Research and a fellow professor in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, part of the Faculty of Pure & Applied Science. Tsotsos is a Canada Research Chair in Computational Vision and was York’s first representative to NSERC.
As York’s NSERC representative, Jenkin will serve as a liaison between the council and York researchers. He will also be the point of contact regarding information about NSERC activities. Jenkin can be reached by e-mail at jenkin@cs.yorku.ca or by telephone at extension 55053.
