York’s United Way campaign update

York’s United Way Campaign was off to a flippin’ start with its annual President’s Pancake Breakfast. On Nov. 5, the York community was treated to a morning of food and fun as York’s President & Vice-Chancellor Lorna R. Marsden and several senior administrators served up pancakes in support of the United Way.

There has been a flurry of activity over the past three weeks with volunteers organizing a number of events to raise awareness (and money) for the United Way. To date, a total of $80,301.62 has been raised toward York’s goal of $180,000.

There is still plenty of time to make a pledge card donation. Please forward your completed pledge card to Danielle Chateau, care of the United Way Campaign office, by the end of November. Pledges received by Nov. 19 have been entered in an early bird draw and the winners will be announced soon.

For further campaign information please contact Chateau, community relations officer and this year’s campaign Chair, at dchateau@yorku.ca.

Mark your calendars

On Nov. 27, Campus Services & Business Operations (CSBO) will be hosting its annual bake sale at the William Small Centre (1st floor lunchroom). The sale starts at 1pm and will continue until 2:30pm. Drop by and enjoy meat ravioli, Italian sausage and other baked goodies and support the United Way.
