Hoarding goes up around new building sites

A message from Facilities Development

Installation of the hoarding around the sites of the two new general academic buildings (GAB east and GAB west) is rapidly progressing. By today, Tuesday, Oct. 14, the sites – one west of Burton Auditorium and the other is east of the Centre for Film & Theatre – will be completely enclosed.

As a result, west entrances will be closed to Burton Auditorium and the Goldfarb Centre for Fine Arts and access will be restricted to some walkways. To compensate, temporary walkways with appropriate lighting and wheelchair accessibility will be constructed.

To ensure the safety of the York community, everyone is urged to follow the directional signs posted and make use of the temporary walkways.

Your patience and cooperation is appreciated and we apologize for the inconveniences these measures will cause.

Further information bulletins will be posted as the project continues. Any questions or concerns can be directed to muddy@yorku.ca. To find out more about GAB east and GAB west construction, see story in YFile archives.
