York student crowned Miss Richmond Hill

Stefany Singh, a student in public policy and administration at York, is trading in her Miss Latina Canada crown to take up her new title as the new Miss Richmond Hill, reported The Thornhill Liberal May 13. The title means she will participate in the Miss Canada International 2004 competition. “I was really ecstatic,” said Singh, who grew up in Markham and has lived in Richmond Hill for four years. “When you’re representing your own community – you’ve grown up there and you know everything there – you can’t be any more thrilled than that.”
