Students flock to York’s Spring Campus Evening

Vari Hall and the Centre for Film & Theatre were alive with potential Yorkies in early May as students flocked to the campus to meet with current students, staff and faculty. The Office of Admissions & Recruitment sent the following article about the event to YFile.

More than 600 prospective students made York their destination on May 1 for the annual Spring Campus Evening sponsored by the Office of Admissions & Recruitment. This event gave mature and transfer students an opportunity to meet with York students, staff and Faculty representatives, attend information sessions, tour the campus and get answers to their questions about the University.

The evening’s activities wrapped up with a reception and information fair in the Centre for Film & Theatre, complete with live jazz entertainment performed by two talented York music students, Michael Davidson and Jaroslaw Dabrowski.

Sangita Manandhar, a fourth-year student who led campus tours and spoke at the reception, was impressed with the participants’ interest in speaking with York community members. “These students are incredibly keen and had a lot of questions!” she said.
