There will be a memorial service for University Archivist Kent Haworth on March 20, at 3:30pm in the Scott Religious Centre, which will be followed by a reception in the Scott Library. Members of the York community are invited to attend.
To honour the memory of Haworth, who died on Jan. 31, York University is establishing a fellowship to be awarded annually to a doctoral student from any discipline from anywhere in the world, whose intent is to use the archival holdings of York University in his or her research. Contributions are welcome and tax receipts will be issued to Canadian contributors. The University’s goal is to raise $25,000.
Further details about the fellowship will be available at the memorial service. For immediate information on how to make a donation, contact Jim Allen at the York University Foundation, firstname.lastname@example.org, ext. 58013.
