Jack Dale

York University has just learned the sad news that longtime colleague, visual arts Professor Emeritus Jack Dale, passed away on Thurs. Oct. 10 after a brief illness.

A nationally renowned photographer, Professor Dale joined York University and the Faculty of Fine Arts in 1972. For more than two decades he was a major force in the Visual Arts Department, a beloved teacher and much-respected colleague and one of the prime architects of the photography area, which continues to flourish. He retired in 1994.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Covenant House would be appreciated.
