Pictured left (centre, front) are VP Research & Innovation Stan Shapson and Member of Parliament for York West Judy Sgro, who were part of the organizing committee for the Greater Toronto Area Innovation Summit in late September. President Lorna R. Marsden and Shapson had major roles to play in the summit, an event which helped identify stakeholder-led innovation initiatives that will benefit the GTA economy.
Summit participants worked toward identifying national issues in the public and private sector that could enable stakeholders in the GTA to pursue an innovative action plan; and formulating ideas for improving Canada’s Innovation Strategy as set out in the Achieving Excellence and Knowledge Matters papers.
