In advance, students were advised to prepare a brief summary of their skills and to be ready to show how those skills related to various employment opportunities. They were also advised to develop a verbal summary of their background, education, work/volunteer experiences, achievements and career interests. York Career Services was available ahead of time in case any students wanted to drop by and talk to a peer advisor or use Choices software to learn more about the self-assessment process. Career Services offered resume-writing workshops and a resume critique service, as well.
