The Office of Research Administration (ORA) would like to remind York faculty members of the upcoming 2003 SSHRC Major Collaborative Research Initiatives (MCRI) competition (deadline for letters of intent: January 31, 2003). A summary of this program is below.
The ORA is coordinating an information session to assist potential applicants in preparing their SSHRC MCRI proposals.
WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 2

This session will be led by professors Stanley Tweyman (Humanities/Arts
and Philosophy/Glendon) and Alan Blum (Sociology/Arts). At present, Tweyman is on the adjudication committee for this program. Professor Blum currently holds a SSHRC MCRI entitled “The Culture of Cities”. Noli Swatman, Director of the ORA , will also be in attendance. This will be an interactive session with an opportunity for questions and answers.
