Lions riding to Philly for SickKids fundraiser

Four York U student athletes and members of Toronto Police Services No. 31 Division will be cycling from Toronto’s SickKids Hospital to the Philadelphia Children’s Hospital. The group is making the trip to raise money for The Hospital for Sick Children through the Cops Cycle for Kids campaign.

Osgoode professors honoured for academic excellence

Osgoode Professors Benjamin Berger and Poonam Puri are the recipients of the awards. Berger received the Canadian Association of Law Teachers — Association Canadienne des Professeurs de Droit Prize for Academic Excellence. The Canadian Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Professionals has awarded the 9th Annual Lloyd Houlden Fellowship to Puri.

York hosts American Musicological Society conference May 1 to 3

Scholars and musicians from New York State, eastern Ontario and western Quebec are converging on York University’s Keele campus May 1 to 3 for the spring 2015 meeting of the New York State/St. Lawrence Chapter of the American Musicological Society. The conference coincides with the North American premiere of Hubert Parry’s oratorio “Judith”.
