York University has received the designation of being one of Canada’s Greenest Employers for the ninth consecutive time, a testament to its dedication to sustainability through action, research, education and partnerships. The title of Canada’s Greenest Employers is awarded to national organizations in recognition of exceptional sustainability initiatives.

New research finds increased levels of brain activity during perceived altered state of consciousness
During the study, the brain was scanned while the test subject was in a trance state and the scan showed alterations in brain signals. The researchers at York University found that regions in the brain were activated through music to induce this altered state of consciousness.
Last week, the Ontario government declared a third Provincial State of Emergency, issuing a stay-at-home order and additional public health restrictions to limit the spread of COVID-19, effective Thursday, April 8 at 12:01 a.m. University community members are reminded to follow the recommendations in the order and adhere to public health guidelines.
