The Lassonde School of Engineering BEST Lab at York University is running a virtual Startup Experience event from March 5 to 7. Students work in teams to come up with solutions to challenges centred around the UN Sustainable Development Goals and then develop a business case and pitch their idea to a panel of judges. The winning teams will win cash prizes along with a BEST Lab membership.
A new paper in the journal “Academy of Management Review” explores how companies use authenticity – a sneak peek into the real life of others – and transgression – viewing the forbidden – to generate a distinctive experience for audiences. The paper was authored by Schulich Professor Maxim Voronov and three Schulich alumni.
Faculty of Health Associate Professor Parissa Safai has been appointed as Special Advisor to the President for Academic Continuity Planning and COVID-19 Response. She will lead a small, dedicated team of staff members who will focus on managing the University’s response to COVID in 2021.
