A fundraising drive named “25K in 25 Days” that supports The Jean Augustine Chair in Education, Community & Diaspora at York University has far exceeded its goal, and the endowment fund will benefit from donations of more than $200,000.
“The University Academic Plan and the Pandemic: Challenges and Opportunities for the Teaching and Research Priorities’ is the title of an upcoming planning forum sponsored by the Senate of York University. The event will bring University community members together to discuss how to best support the University Academic Plan teaching priorities in view of the seismic events of 2020-21.
A new paper in the journal “Academy of Management Review” explores how companies use authenticity – a sneak peek into the real life of others – and transgression – viewing the forbidden – to generate a distinctive experience for audiences. The paper was authored by Schulich Professor Maxim Voronov and three Schulich alumni.
Faculty of Health Associate Professor Parissa Safai has been appointed as Special Advisor to the President for Academic Continuity Planning and COVID-19 Response. She will lead a small, dedicated team of staff members who will focus on managing the University’s response to COVID in 2021.
