To mark International Women’s Day, York President and Vice-Chancellor Rhonda L. Lenton offers a special message to the community. She writes that York University has long been recognized as a leader in gender equality. For more than three decades, the School of Gender, Sexuality and Women’s Studies and the Centre for Feminist Research have been trailblazers in intersectional programming, research and partnerships.
Moderated by York doctoral candidate Mohamed Duale, the event will feature Helidah Ogude and Tamuka Chekero from the World Bank, who will share their findings from a World Bank-led social analysis of the risks and impacts of COVID-19 for mobile populations across Africa.
