York University faculty, staff, students and postdocs are invited to book an appointment for online/remote statistical consulting with Statistical Consulting Services (SCS).
SCS is supported by the Office of the Vice-President, Research & Innovation, and the Faculty of Health and is comprised of students, faculty and statistical consultants from around York University (including the Department of Psychology, Department of Mathematics and Statistics, and the Institute for Social Research). See the SCS website for information.
The services offered by SCS are provided free of charge to faculty, students, staff and postdocs. Faculty members are encouraged to include consulting in their grant application budgets, and to use these funds to cover statistical consulting when they are available. Students seeking more help with their data analysis than standard consulting allows may request to hire one of the TAs, if available. SCS requests that all publications which have used its assistance acknowledge this contribution in the paper.
SCS offers statistical consulting on a variety of topics, including:
- research and sample design
- survey data and survey sampling
