As part of its efforts to create a more equitable, diverse and inclusive community at York University, the President’s Advisory Council on Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) has organized a new speaker series, “Insights: A Speaker Series on EDI,” which will be hosted by Vice-President of Equity, People and Culture Sheila Cote-Meek. The speaker series is designed to inform and inspire community members to take action by provoking thought and conversation about EDI issues.

On Thursday, April 22, from 12 to 1 p.m., the York community is invited to participate in the second event in the series. The topic is Building Equity Diversity and Inclusion Strategies and Actions: Lessons Learned in Canadian Post-Secondary. Chaired by Cote-Meek, the council will consult with York students, staff, faculty and instructors on the planning and implementation of a new EDI strategy.
