Call for members for York University Tribunal

The Office of Student Community Relations (OSCR) is now accepting applications for the York University Tribunal panel from full-time faculty, CPM staff and students for a two-year term. The deadline to apply for the position is Dec. 15.

York University Tribunal members are appointed by the vice-provost students upon recommendation by a selection committee. Selected members will sit on hearing panels to adjudicate breaches of York’s non-academic Code of Student Rights and Responsibilities (The Code) and review appeals of Local Adjudication and Tribunal Hearing decisions.

Training and ongoing development are provided throughout the term, including the principals of natural justice, evaluating evidence, decision making, decision writing, sanctioning, and hearing procedures.
