James Gillies St. will be closing between York Blvd. and Fine Arts Rd.

Construction sign

Construction on the expansion of the Schulich School of Business will begin in December. As a result, James Gillies Street will be closed in both directions between York Boulevard and Fine Arts Road.

The graphic shows a map of York University's Keele campus and focuses on an area around the Schulich School of Business. It shows the closure of James Gilles Street and the alternative route into the Student Services Parking Garage.
The Student Services Parking Garage will remain open and University community members are encouraged to utilize Keele Street and The Pond Road as an alternative to access the parking garage.

How will this impact the community?

Community members will no longer be able to travel between on York Blvd. and Fine Arts Rd. on James Gillies St. When travelling through the area, watch and adhere to all traffic and pedestrian signage, as well as traffic control personnel on site.

Additional bulletins will be posted as the project progresses and as the date of the closure is confirmed.  For more information about this project, contact Irina Arsene, construction project manager, Campus Services & Business Operations (CSBO), at iarsene@yorku.ca or by phone at 416-736-2100, ext. 33170.
