Construction activities at York Lanes that began on June 13 will require the closure of additional Colonnade access doors from The Common. The graphic below shows the work zones, which are located at each end of the Colonnade adjacent to the main York Lanes building.

This overhead view of York Lanes shows two areas marked in red at the east and west entrances to the Colonnade walkway adjacent to the main York Lanes building. Access will be blocked by hoarding while construction work is underway.

What will be closed?

The doors from the Common to the Colonnade on the west and east ends of York Lanes will be blocked by construction hoarding and fencing.

How will this impact the York community?

Pedestrians who normally access these doors will be required to use alternate routes. Signage will be posted to direct pedestrian traffic around the work areas.

Why is work being done?

Stucco and roof elements of York Lanes (shown in green below) are being replaced to maintain the building.
