This month, University Information Technology (UIT) be upgrading Lotus Notes to the latest version. The upgrade will have no impact on daily Lotus Notes operation or usage and no changes will be required on the desktop client.
Starting Thursday, Aug. 20, Lotus Notes webmail users will see some visual differences when they log onto their email. These changes include a new, more simplified web interface. The functionality will stay the same. To view the new interface, visit http://staff.computing.yorku.ca/faculty-staff/email/lotus-notes/lotus-notes-webmail/.
Webmail users may also see the following error message when their archive loads: “Error connection to Sametime proxy server. Please contact your administrator”.
This message can be safely ignored for now, as UIT is in the process of configuring the Sametime messaging system. It will not affect the use and functionality of Sametime.
