Spring is here and registration for the York Youth Connection (YYC) summer day camp is now open. Register your child before May 30 to avoid disappointment.

Celebrating its 40th anniversary this summer, YYC provides inspiring, interdisciplinary and innovative experiences to young people ages eight to 14. Campers include youth from York’s local community as well as the children of staff, faculty and alumni.

The fun and learning continues this summer over four two-week sessions, with an exciting new curriculum and activities designed to foster passion for creativity and excitement for learning. Camp programming spans many areas, including health and fitness, performing arts and presentation, art and design, eco-science and leadership — all of which keep campers engaged in a unique, university-based program that emphasizes community and collaboration.

Learn more about YYC and register your child by visiting the YYC website. The registration deadline is May 30, so don’t miss out on this special anniversary year. York employees, students and alumni can even take advantage of exclusive discounted prices.

We are also interested in hearing how the camp has been a part of your life over its many years. If you have an YYC memory you would like to share, contact the camp organizers at yyc@yorku.ca or by telephone at 416-736-2100 ext. 44206.
