The Archives of Ontario is launching a three-part video series introducing the public to the Government of Ontario Art Collection. The series is offered in collaboration with MGS Communications, producers of the videos. The videos are centred on the theme “Opening Doors”.
The series launches with “Inside the Art Vault” featuring series host and curator Lani Wilson. She will offer an overview of the Achives’ collection, highlighting specific pieces, and offering a look into one of the Archives’ cutting-edge storage vaults. The video is available on the Archives of Ontario website as well as the Ontario Government YouTube channel.
The next two videos will open doors to the Office of the Premier and the Lieutenant Governor’s Suite. The videos invite the public to explore art in those locations.
The series is designed to enlighten online audiences about how pieces from this diverse and historically significant collection are acquired, showcased and protected for the enjoyment of future generations.
