Keele Street closed May 7 between Toro Road and Murray Ross Parkway

On May 7, Keele Street will be closed between Toro Road and Murray Ross Parkway from 7am to 11pm. This closure is for a large concrete pour to form the roof of the Finch West Station.

Northbound Keele Street will be open from Toro Road to Finch Avenue West to provide access to local businesses only, which will remain open. Paid duty officers and traffic control personnel will be stationed near the work zone to ensure safe traffic flow.

Access to all the businesses on Keele Street between Toro Road to Finch Avenue West will be maintained. Northbound local traffic will be permitted along Keele Street from Toro Road to south of Finch Avenue West.

Alternate routes:
The alternate southbound detour route is east on Murray Ross Parkway extension, south on Tangiers Road and west on Toro Road back to Keele Street southbound. The alternate northbound detour route is east on Toro Road, north on Tangiers Road and west on Murray Ross Parkway to Keele Street northbound.

Work hours:
The City of Toronto normal construction work hours are 7am to 7pm. However, the City of Toronto has approved a noise bylaw amendment for major transit projects that allows contractors to perform civil work from 7am to 11pm when required. Extended work hours are expected to occur in the Keele/Finch neighbourhood on May 7 or 8.

Temporary bus stop relocations:
TTC personnel will be at the bus stops to direct passengers to the temporary stops. Due to the nature and location of the work, transit riders may face traffic delays.
