Learning & Organizational Development releases its new roster of courses

The new 2012-2013 Leadership & Management and Staff Development learning initiatives and development program roster of courses is now available. Coordinated by Learning & Organizational Development (L&OD), the courses are available on the York Employee Learning Calendar.

New this year is the introduction of L&OD’s Learn at Work Week, Oct.1 to 5.  The culmination of Learn at Work Week will be the inaugural Celebration of Learning event. To submit your information for this recognition event, go to https://hr.apps01.yorku.ca/machform/view.php?id=18, log in through your Passport York account and complete the online application form by Wednesday, Sept. 19.

Among the many offerings on this year’s roster are programs, such as the Employee Career Series, Ask aTRTTrainer, Manager U at York program, Leading Edge Program for Emerging Leaders, Onboarding Manager Program workshops, and the Violence and Harassment Prevention series. These programs will run from September 2012 to July 2013,

In support of continued learning and professional development, L&OD is introducing two new programs, the Manager U at York Phase 2: Creating Management Excellence, and Leading Edge Phase 2: Discovering Your Leadership Potential.

There are a number of single courses for employees, including full courses and minibytes in Microsoft Office 2010 Suites.

Also returning this year by popular demand are Friday @ the Movies, the L&OD Speaker Series and the Wellness@Work series.
