Schulich students Amanda Acchione (BBA Candidate 2013) and Amber Lam (MBA/JD Candidate 2014) have been awarded scholarships by the CREW (Commercial Real Estate Women) Network in the United States.
Acchione was one of the top two ranked undergraduate candidates and won a $10,000 scholarship. Lam was one of only two graduate students awarded a scholarship worth $5,000.
Students from both American and Canadian schools were eligible for the scholarships. Seven scholarships were awarded in total – five to undergraduate students and two to graduate students.
“Schulich students took two out of the top four positions in this year’s CREW Network scholarship rankings – an incredible achievement considering that the scholarship is available to students at every university across North America,” said Andre Kuzmicki, executive director of Schulich’s Program in Real Estate and Infrastructure.
“Amanda is an excellent student with strong entrepreneurial credentials currently interning at Canadian Apartment Properties REIT and Amber was a member of Schulich’s winning ARGUS case competition team,” he said. “Amber is serving as the 2012-2013 president of the Schulich Real Property Students’ Association and is working this summer as an assistant legal analyst for the Independent Electricity System Operator.”
