Register now for new eReports budget module training

Photograph of a calculator and pen.A new budget module developed for eReports and released on Feb. 13 will be used to prepare and load the 2012-2013 budget.

Developed after community consultation, the new module is designed to make budget preparation and loading a more efficient process. The process was developed around Microsoft Excel and incorporates all of Excel’s functionality, including Copy and Paste features. As an added benefit, the process also allows for the efficient uploading of multiple budgets into eReports through a new mass upload feature.

The Office of Budgets & Planning has organized a number of training sessions for community members involved in preparing the 2012-2013 budget.  Organizers ask those individuals who are interested in training to pre-register.

February sessions are full, so to ensure space availability for the March and April sessions, participants are asked to select three possible dates and times when they are available to attend a session. Organizers will confirm the exact date and time to each participant through a confirmation e-mail.

A training video is now available and the 2012-2013 Budget Call Guideline and Training Manual has also been posted on the Finance Department website.
