Annual Family Campaign: York employees support students

Liisa North, retired professor and founder of the Centre for Research on Latin America & the Caribbean, chose to honour the lives of her parents with the creation of a bursary that supports students who share her passion for human rights and social justice in Latin America and the Caribbean.

Bruce Dugelby established a bursary for students with disabilities as a tribute to his mother, and has generously arranged for a bequest in his will to support the fund – a meaningful legacy for a distinguished 40-year career in York’s finance department.

York faculty, staff and retirees choose to go above and beyond the call of duty for many reasons, but the impact of their generosity is the same – they help to give York students an experience that opens their minds to new possibilities and changes their lives for the better.

By making a gift to York University through the Family Campaign, you too can help students to reach their full potential.

Every gift designated to the Ontario Trust for Student Support will be matched dollar-for-dollar by the provincial government – doubling the support for students in your Faculty of choice.
