Robbery reported on the Common

The Toronto Police Service is currently investigating a report of a robbery which occurred on Tuesday, at approximately 7:10pm, on the east side of the Harry W. Arthurs Common. At that time, a female member of the York community reported that an unknown man removed her eyeglasses and then broke them by stepping on them before stealing her iPod.

Police describe the suspect as a black male with brown eyes, six to six-foot-four, with a medium build and weighing between 180 and 240 pounds. He was last seen wearing: dark clothing including a black ski mask and a black hoodie. The victim said the man spoke with no accent and had a stern voice.
