Professor Ann Denholm Crosby was an expert in international relations

Professor Ann Denholm Crosby of the Department of Political Science, Faculty of Liberal Arts & Professional Studies (LA&PS), died on Wednesday, July 1, following a brief illness.

Professor Crosby worked in the areas of international relations, Canadian foreign policy and defence decision-making and was interested in questions of the environment, gender and alternative approaches to conflict and peace.

She had previously served as the graduate program director in political science and had been an inspiration to both graduate and undergraduate students.

Professor Crosby’s family will hold a memorial at her home on Saturday, July 18 from 1 to 4pm. There will be a memorial event hosted by York’s Department of Political Science early in the fall term.
