Operations at the Tait McKenzie Centre return to normal

The Tait McKenzie Centre reopened Tuesday at 4:30pm for all sports and recreation programming.

The physical education centre served as a shelter for more than 180 people earlier this week, following Sunday’s devastating explosion and fire at a propane facility which forced the evacuation of residents in a Downsview neighbourhood southeast of the University. Many of the people who came to the York shelter have returned home or found other housing, and the remainder are being provided with alternative accommodation.
