Students who demonstrate these characteristics may qualify for one of the Canada Millennium Scholarship Foundation’s Millennium Excellence National In-course Awards.
Millennium Excellence National In-course Awards support tomorrow’s leaders, the postsecondary students who are committed to turning visionary ideas into reality. Awards of $4,000 to $5,000 will enable recipients to continue improving their community, implementing new ideas and maintaining a solid academic record. These awards are not loans; they do not have to be repaid and will not increase student debt. A total of 46 York University students will be eligible to receive these national awards.
The application period for the 2007 Millennium National Excellence In-course Awards is now open.

To be eligible, a student must be enrolled in a full-time program and have earned between 48 and 82 credits as of April 2007. Students must have a cumulative GPA of at least B+ (7.0) and must not have been a past recipient of a substantial merit scholarship. Students applying after their second year may not have received more than $3,500 in scholarship money based solely on merit in any one year, with a total of no more than $5,000 to date.
