Korea Japan Week celebrates two cultures

For a taste of Korean and Japanese cultures, come out and see martial arts demonstrations, dance performances and other events during Korea Japan Week at York Feb. 19-22.

The four-day festival features a fashion show, a demonstration of Ikebana – the Japanese art of flower arrangement, an exhibit about Hanryu – the South Korean wave of popular culture taking China by storm, nail painting and an origami demonstration. The festival ends with a concert by bands playing Asian K-pop and J-pop music in Vanier College’s The Renaissance.

This is the second Korea Japan Week organized by the York University Korean Students Association, the Japanese International Students Association and York Korean language students in the Korean Program.
