In conjunction with the construction of the new Tennis Canada site, York’s Facilities Services is beginning a project involving the installation of new utility services. This project is scheduled to begin this week, with completion scheduled for the end of May.
The scope of the work includes trenching from York’s new convocation site (see the April 26 YFile), on the north side of The Pond Rd. west of Sentinel Rd., and along The Pond Rd. to the Tennis Canada site on Shoreham Dr., south of the Beatrice Ice Gardens.
Because of the nature of this work, there will be some minor delays and re-routing of pedestrian and vehicular traffic. The contractor performing the work will take all necessary precautions to ensure the safety of the community including the posting of signs and the directing of traffic when needed.
