York U students participate in a life-changing experiential learning opportunity

For a group of Toronto high school students, travelling to Iceland with students and faculty from York University to prowl around volcanoes was truly the experience of a lifetime. The trip, which took place last spring, was organized by Kathy Young, a geography professor in the Faculty of Liberal Arts & Professional Studies and was part of her advanced fourth-year field course for geography students.

Law courses look toward future of the profession

The legal profession of the future will look different than it does today, if the creators and students of Osgoode Hall Law School’s Justice Innovation and Access to Justice Program have anything to say about it. The program offers courses that provide skills that are not usually taught as part of legal education, such as collaboration, an understanding of technology and a user-centred perspective.
