Four York researchers awarded more than $2.3 million from CIHR

The Canadian Institutes of Health Research has awarded funding to David Hood, John Douglas Crawford, Tara Haas with co-investigator Emilie Roudier, and Christine Kurtz Landy to investigate everything from how exercise can improve aging muscles, how visual signals are converted into 3-D eye and head movements and how blood vessel networks are affected by a high-fat diet to the impact of repeated C-sections on women’s health.

Dora Awards put York University performing artists in spotlight

Two dozen fine arts alumni and faculty were on the nominee list for this year’s annual Dora Mavor Moore Awards with several boasting multiple nominations in different award categories. Five were singled out by the juries as number one among the best of the year, striding across the stage to accept their bronze statuette to the cheers of their peers.
