Four faculty members within the Faculty of Health at York University were recognized on Nov. 6 for their accomplishments in teaching, research and service. The annual awards are presented by the dean, and reflect excellence and innovation within the Faculty.
On Oct. 24, more than 300 Toronto-area high school students gathered in the Sandra Faire and Ivan Fecan Theatre at the Keele Campus for the 2019 Gairdner Student Outreach Lectures. The Gairdner Lectures, which include both a student outreach and a faculty event, are brought to universities across Canada through the efforts of the Gairdner Foundation.
A one-day Risk & Insurance Studies Centre Forum will delve into questions about where microinsurance stands today and where it is headed. The forum will take place on Monday, Nov. 25, starting with a reception and breakfast at 8 a.m. in the Miles S. Nadal Management Centre in downtown Toronto.
The cartoons on display include some of Zunzi’s latest works on the ongoing youth-led Hong Kong protests. There will also be a forum on Nov. 8 that will include a keynote address by the artist.
