York University students have shared more than 700 images depicting their experiential education for the chance to win up to $5,000 in prizes during the #MyExperienceYU photo contest.
Now, it will be up to the community to vote for their favourite photos, and select the top three winners from 10 finalists announced on Nov. 14 online. Voting takes place from Nov. 14 until 11:59pm EST Nov. 19.
Three photos will be chosen, based on the number of votes, and the prizes are as follows:
• first place will receive $3,000
• second place will receive $1,500
• third place will receive $500
The value will be added to the winners’ student account, and winners will be announced on Nov. 20.
The #MyExperienceYU contest focused on sharing students’ perspectives of experiential education in the community, in the workplace and in the classroom. Students were asked to upload their photos to Instagram or Twitter using the #MyExperienceYU hashtag.
