FES students invite community to People’s Climate March

A group of students from the Faculty of Environmental Studies (FES) who are members of the FES Equity Committee and the Accessibility, Community, Equity (ACE) Committee is inviting the greater York community to join the People’s Climate March in Toronto on Saturday, April 29.

The march forms part of a North American Day of Action initiated by The People’s Climate Movement, a project of dozens of organizations working together to solve the climate crisis.

The march encourages citizens to band together in support of solutions to the current global climate crisis, including fossil fuel projects and policies. This action is an opportunity to come together under the banner of solidarity to strengthen collective work in global climate change and commitment to equity, social justice, climate justice and environmental sustainability.

Those interested in joining the efforts should contact Julia Fursova, PhD program, member of the FES Equity Committee, at juliafur@yorku.ca.
